This is supposed to be a family./beginner kayak event with classroom training on how to use a kayak before actually getting in the water. because of the Americas Cup races the owner shorted us on the raining so we could take our tour and go see the americas cup sailboats, which those of us who were true beginners did not want to do. So we didn't get the practice on shore that we paid for.
Participants will be provided with an easy-to-use and stable kayak. Most participants want an extra-stable double kayak, although single kayaks are available for the adventurous. You'll also get a life jacket and, of course, paddles.
Be sure to wear water-resistant pants, a jacket to protect you from the wind, and shoes that can get wet. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a change of clothes and extra shoes in case you get splashed. Dress in layers, and bring a hat, sunglasses, sunblock and bottled water.
About the Ticket Supplier: City Kayak
We offer kayak trips to downtown San Francisco, McCovey Cove, and waterfront landmarks. The condition in this area is mostly calm and suitable for family and beginners. Typically double recreational touring kayaks are used for speed and stability. Single seatouring kayaks are available for strong paddlers.
