Cleveland Indians vs. New York Yankees: Mariano Rivera Fathead Day
- Full Price:
- $32.00 - $100.00
- Our Price:
- $16.00 - $50.00
The New York Yankees take on the Cleveland Indians at New Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and if you're a Mariano Rivera fan you'll want to make sure to get there early. The first 18,000 people through the gates will get a Mariano Rivera Fathead to decorate their wall. The Yankees have come on strong this season, keeping a firm hold on their position at the top of the league. They are fielding a formidable bullpen that has shut down batter after batter all season. On the offensive side, heavy hitter Robinson Cano and cleanup man Curtis Granderson drive in the runs that ensure the win. The Indians are perennial playoff contenders and they're currently at the #2 spot in the AL Central Division. They will be looking for a way to slow down Cano and keep the score low. Both teams excel in tight games, so it could be anyone's day. Learn More

Written on Aug 21 2012Overall it was a nice trip - beautiful day and it was great exploring the bay. While the people that worked at City Kayak were nice - they were totally disorganized. I've kayaked before, so I was fine being on my own - but this was supposed to be for first timers and much of the time the guides were nowhere to be found. I would definitely kayak in the bay again - but most likely would do it with a different company. The price seemed kind of high for what you actually got.
Written on Aug 20 2012This is supposed to be a family./beginner kayak event with classroom training on how to use a kayak before actually getting in the water. because of the Americas Cup races the owner shorted us on the raining so we could take our tour and go see the americas cup sailboats, which those of us who were true beginners did not want to do. So we didn't get the practice on shore that we paid for.
Written on Jul 23 2012We went to Pier 39 parking as was suggested on City Kayak's web page. DO NOT DO THIS. Pier 39 is nowhere near where City Kayak is located at Pier 40 and it really put a crimp in our ability to enjoy the day, as we rushed in, thinking we were late to the event. Thankfully, we were not, and went out on the kayaks. Not really alot of instruction, just a little, and no effort to point out points of interest. We basically were on our own. It was a great weather day, and we enjoyed the perspective of seeing SF from the water around McCovey Cove.
Written on Jul 09 2012It was great! My daughter and I had a blast! We got outfitted and our basic instruction on the dock and then a bit of paddling practice in the cove around the docks. Then a good amount of time paddling together out into McCovey Cove, down Mission Creek to see the house boats and back again. I wasn't sure before the trip if this was something I would be able to do, but it was a lot of fun, the perfect amount of time for a beginner, and we will go back again.
