The village volunteers were a little disorganized in the beginning but got up to speed fairly quickly. There was no need to arrive at 10:00 to sign up for boarding times since it wasn't that crowded and they seemed not to have that routine in place. Although the event was described as offering 30 minute tours of the boats there were no formal presentations. We were free to wander and ask questions of the crew. We visited 4 of the 5 ships since one had been moved quite a distance down to Pier 27 due to insufficient depth at Pier 1-½. Overall, a pleasant day at the Embarcadero.

Great idea, but poorly organised. Goldstar did not provide enough details for this event. I purchase tickest through Goldstar then checked out the festival's website to discover there were 3 different "villages" which required a purchase of 3 separate tickets if you were wishing to enjoy the entire event. I had to purchase more tickets the night before the event and already purchased tickets earlier through Goldstar. The festival's site said all wristbands could be picked-up @ Justin Herman Plaza, yet when we arrived, they said we could pick up the bands for the International Village and would need to p/u the others @ Aquatic Park.
