Latvian-born writer and filmmaker David Bezmozgis has won critical acclaim for his collection of short stories Natasha and Other Stories and his novel The Free World. Both explore themes of immigration, exile and aspiration. His new novel The Betrayers follows a disgraced Russian Jewish dissident turned Israeli politician who comes face-to-face with a ghost from his past. Bezmozgis will discuss The Betrayers with Michael Ray, the editor of literary magazine Zoetrope: All-Story, which was one of the first to publish the author's works. Learn More
