Marimba music, ballet-infused folklorico dance, accordion-fueled norteño music and other musical performance styles from Mexico, El Salvador, Chile and beyond come together for Monsignor Romero: A Unity Song. Celebrating the life and foundation of the great Catholic activist Óscar Romero, Brava Theater Center presents such exhilarating Latin performers as Mexican political singer-songwriter Francisco Herrera, Chilean cellist and folk singer Mochi Parra and El Salvadoran dance sensations Ballet Teatro Mauricio Bonilla, performing for the first time in the U.S. from their homeland. Part of the proceeds (25%) go toward helping fund a statue of Monsignor Romero in Rome and advancing the cause of hope, love and unity. Learn More

I was privileged to have seen the first "Fierce Love" in 1991 at Josie's Juice Joint. And I count myself doubly blessed to have enjoyed "Fierce Love (remix)," which is every bit as saucy, sassy and sensitive as the original. What a triple treat it was to see Brian Freeman himself in the mix!
