    More Information

From Harlem To Beyond The Rainbow! is a celebration of the music and life of one of America's most prolific songwriters. Harold Arlen by name is unknown to many but many an Arlen tune is easily recognized. So much so that "He wrote that!" is usually the comment that follows. From "Get Happy," "Stormy Weather," "As Long As I Live," The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea," through the song of the century, "Over The Rainbow" and on to classics "The Man That Got Away," and "One For My Baby," Arlen has written some of the most memorable songs in the American Songbook. He ranks right up there with Porter, Gershwin, Kern, Rogers, Hart, and the others. This performance celebrates the 100th aniversary of his birth with song and insights into their origin.
