Description
Garfunkel and Oates is a comedy-folk duo from Los Angeles, CA, consisting of actress-songwriters Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome. In February 2009, the Garfunkel and Oates song "Fuck You" (reworked as "Screw You") was featured in an episode of NBC’s Scrubs with Micucci in a supporting role. Their video "Sex With Ducks" that parodies arguments against same-sex marriage has been featured on such diverse media outlets as Buzzflash.com, FOX's The O'Reilly Factor, HuffingtonPost.com, and others. Other popular songs include "Pregnant Women Are Smug", “This Party Took a Turn for the Douche”, “My Apartment’s Very Clean Without You”, and “Weed Card”. They appear regularly at the UCB Theater in Los Angeles and have performed four times on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
In January, it was announced that Garfunkel and Oates had signed a deal with HBO to make a pilot for their own show. Lindhome has described it as "Glee with dick jokes".
Guy Branum, from E!’s Chelsea Lately, will also be performing as a special guest.
