This was a good and enjoyable show, all in all. I give it 3 1/2 stars out of 5.Written on Sep 21 2010
A few comments, though:
1) It was too long (nearly 3 hours, including intermission), and needed to be more concise. Too much time was spent on emotional processing.
2) This is a drama, not a comedy, so don't expect much in the way of laughs.
3) The acting was good, but not great. Some performers were definitely better than others.
4) There were some good twists and turns in the story, which made it enjoyable. Halfway into the second act of the show, though, it was fairly easy to guess what the eventual outcome would be.
Even with the caveats listed above, the show was worth seeing.

Complex and somber themes channeled through good character portrayals and vignettes that kept the play moving forward, in spite of its length. Casting and acting was good to very good. Lots of coarse language.Written on Sep 24 2010

Description
Harvesting the Lost, Dan Wilson's world premiere play, tells the tale of Ruth and Amanda, a young couple working their way through the seemingly typical struggles of the modern era: ailing parents, emotionally and physically distant families, dissatisfaction and the fear of losing it, and the omnipresent specter of homelessness. When Ruth suddenly vanishes for three days, and returns with impossible tales of alien abduction and conspiracy, Amanda must decide who she loves more: her partner or herself.
