Trainwreck Cabaret takes the 1950s variety and burlesque show and gives it a sarcastic modern, Bay Area twist. The best local talent from a variety of genres performs, including comedians, musicians, puppetry, swordswallowing and burlesque dancers. 2010 "Battle of the Bay" finalist Brian Fields hosts an unforgettable evening. Featured performers include puppeteer Adam McLaughlin, opera singer Casey Grim, musician Jason Gitlin, daredevil/swordswallower Herman, burlesque dancer Ruby White and local comics Dave Thomason, Eloisa Bravo and Pia Messing. The Middle School Poetry ensemble made jokes about punching a pregnant woman in the stomach, and preying sexually on teenage girls.Written on Nov 19 2007
The other group was funny. But we also expected to see Oui Be Negroes, as advertised.
Overall a big boo hiss.
