A fairly smooth event. Would have been better at times if there were microphones. Also costumes would have helped. The performers stayed in street clothes, which meant you had to use your imagination more. They made good use of music. There were 2 big laughs and the rest were mostly chuckles. My date has been to many of these events and she rated it about 6 on a 10 scale. I would give it more like a 5. There were no familiar Elvis songs, unlike what the advertising would lead you to believe. The cast seemed to go for story more than laughs.
BATS Improv proudly presents “Improvised Elvis: The Musical!” a fully improvised extravaganza that pays homage to classic Elvis films like "Viva Las Vegas,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Clambake,” and all those other kooky and far-out films from the 50’s and 60’s. Co-Directed by Joshua Raoul Brody and Laura Derry. Also featuring guest performer Christopher Gray and drummer David Norfleet.
