Though the story was not at all what I expected from the description on Goldstar, I was happily surprised that it was actually much more. Although it could have turned into a case of "how many subplots can you find?", it was easy to swallow. I brought a younger friend with me, but I would not suggest it unless they are very aware of pretty adult topics and language. Even though it was minimal, the staging was extremely creative. From the description I expected much more about the father and son,. The father's role was somewhat small and nothing was done to make it stand out. While the main characters and storyline belonged to the brother and sister, I was most impressed by the mother and Cobb. The actor playing Cobb brought depth to his character that I wasn't expecting from such a young man. The mother was seamless in her portrayal, hiding her secret well. The two of them in the final scene made any other shortcomings the play may have had just fade away.Written on Apr 21 2011
