Kenny is the greatest - I would see him any time I can find the venue where he is appearing - wish he had a CD - and the band with him is terrific, too. Drinks were good, a bit expensive, but good. A great time, really.Written on Jun 25 2008

He is very entertaining and personable...great "scat". Venue is cozy so any seat gives an "up-front" view. Most couples that we observed ordered a bottle of wine to cover the two-drink minimum.Written on Feb 27 2008

He has a really good voice and I'm not really a jazz fan, so to me it was impressive.Written on Feb 13 2008

What a great, soulful voice! And his band was outstanding! A great performance in a nice, intimate setting (Pearl's in SF), I would highly recommend you check this guy out!Written on Feb 13 2008

Description
If you have never heard this New Orleans native sing before, get ready for a jaw dropping experience. Kenny is a jazz vocalist virtuoso. Emulating the classic styles of Johnny Hartman and Billy Eckstine, infusing colors of Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, Kenny’s freedom • play approach, with over a four-octave range is awe inspiring. His tone on ballads is liquid, his scat is so rapid-fire, passionate, melodious and inventive that subsequent saxophone solos often pale, and his intonation is so precise that it becomes noticeable if the piano wasn’t tuned that day. His range seems limitless. With a childhood background singing in gospel, Kenny is at home with the Blues as well as Jazz.
