Very intimate setting. Had a superb time. Seating was comfortable with good sight lines to stage. Kim and her 3-piece emsemble were outstanding. Her vocals were very good. Kudos to the piano player for her tremendous talent. Audience members selected the songs and Kim and her musicians made them their own. Kim is definitely worth seeing again.Written on Feb 16 2008

As many Bay Area music fans know, Kim Nalley deserves her reputation as one of the best and most promising jazz and blues vocalists working today. Glamorous, garrulous and dramatic like a diva of the 1950s, Nalley evokes an era when women were classy and brash like Lena Horne. Although a formidable singer in any genre, she is famous for that swinging genre of jazz in the tradition of Count Basie vocalists, Joe Williams, Billie Holiday and Helen Humes.
