Khaled Hosseini is a wonderful writer, and his graciousness and profound humanity came through in the talk and reading. Nicely hosted, lovely venue. I did find several of the ushers to be a bit invasive and aggressive, so that is my only complaint (and why I am giving 4 rather than 5 stars).
Quotes & Highlights
- “Hosseini gives us a vivid and engaging story that reminds us how long his people have been struggling to triumph over the forces of violence – forces that continue to threaten them even today.” —New York Times Book Review
- “[Love] is the emotion – subterranean, powerful, beautiful, illicit, and infinitely patient – that suffuses the pages.” – O, The Oprah Magazine
The Goldstar ticket price does not include a copy of Hosseini's new book.
