I paid a service fee for the tickets to this event, but a half hour prior to the event, someone was in the park telling everyone the event was free. And, one of my friends paid $18.50 per ticket for the event -- she was outraged! The concert was not very good -- the band needs to study what current kid-friendly bands are like, as they totally mis-read their audience. Their songs were dated-sounding, had a series of negative messages (don't eat your vegetables, tying shoes isn't as good as using velcro), and overall, the music just wasn't very good. The lead singer kept breathing heavily into her microphone, and the sound quality was bad. While the concert was "free", I felt there was absolutely no vetting by Zeum on the quality of the band and was appalled that they had no clue as to what children's bands are like these days. Singing about what you were like as a child (when you're over 50) has absolutely no meaning for children these days.
What a way to start the holiday season by joining the Bay Area’s hot kid’s band for an afternoon of great music that teaches important lessons, with a show of fun, interactive songs, props and Violet the Hooper. Be the first to hear the Sweet Tooths new Christmas songs and frolic with the little pony. A trip to the wonderful Zeum Children’s Museum for the Dance Party will be the first gift of the season. The Sweet Tooths reveal their new CD at this show, open to the young and young at heart.
