I paid a service fee for the tickets to this event, but a half hour prior to the event, someone was in the park telling everyone the event was free. And, one of my friends paid $18.50 per ticket for the event -- she was outraged! The concert was not very good -- the band needs to study what current kid-friendly bands are like, as they totally mis-read their audience. Their songs were dated-sounding, had a series of negative messages (don't eat your vegetables, tying shoes isn't as good as using velcro), and overall, the music just wasn't very good. The lead singer kept breathing heavily into her microphone, and the sound quality was bad. While the concert was "free", I felt there was absolutely no vetting by Zeum on the quality of the band and was appalled that they had no clue as to what children's bands are like these days. Singing about what you were like as a child (when you're over 50) has absolutely no meaning for children these days.Written on Nov 30 2009

Shame on Zeum, Goldstar and Kandy...This concert was Poor...It was NOT a dance party (title)...the children sat in their seats, there was NO interaction with the children. The performance was miserable: Several of the songs gave negative messages (Don't like your vegetables, don't like tieing your shoes. Did Zeum actually check out this program????If so...they are sadly mistaken about messages for children now (not 40+ years ago!). We had thought we could spend some time in the museum...big mistake there also. At full price, this was a huge ripoff. GOLDSTAR might check further before giving the impression that the Zeum museum was part of the deal, or at the very least, list the admission price...another $8 and $10 per child and adult...Written on Nov 30 2009
