The New York Times called Tony DeSare "two thirds young Sinatra, one third Billy Joel." Named a Rising Star Male Vocalist in the 2009 DownBeat Critics Poll, DeSare can glide from George Gershwin to Bob Dylan to one of his own original songs with ease. At once romantic, swinging and sensual, DeSare's latest show, Nightlife, covers hauntingly beautiful and memorable melodies from Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Paul Simon, Willie Nelson and, of course, Frank Sinatra's "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" to celebrate Sinatra's upcoming 100th birthday in 2015. I even got to meet LaChanze after the show and she was incredibly warm and gracious. She spoke about her upcoming Broadway show titled something like "If..Then" opening in March....I'm heading to NYC!
