Spend New Year's Eve with Lea DeLaria, Broadway star and vocalist who has been offering her unique blend of songs and satire for more than a decade. A little late starting, a little short and a semi-okay sound system but still had a ball. Lea was singing and joking up a storm. Almost would've liked to do both shows just since she mentioned only getting about 1/4 of the way thru. I knew nothing of her before I went but was looking for something to do on NYE and visiting friends wanted to see her. I thought she was very funny although a little crude at times and prone to using the f-word a lot. (I realize that's common among comedians so I went with the flow on it.)I was also very impressed by her voice and enjoyed her comic and soulful renditions of songs.
