Relive the creative excitement of New York's East Village, circa 1980, when two of the era's most important artists share the stage for the first time in a generation. Joey Arias and Kristian Hoffman come together in Lightning Strikes
at Feinstein's at the Nikko. Named after a song by Klaus Nomi -- whom Arias performed with and Hoffman wrote for -- Lightning Strikes
is the first official collaboration between these two friends of the late, legendary German countertenor. Since their days performing at venues like Club 57, the Mudd Club and CBGB, both Arias and Hoffman have achieved renown as artistic innovators in their own right. Lightning Strikes
illuminates their past, but also their present status as truly unique entertainers. Catch this show before Arias and Hoffman commence a European tour in celebration of (what would have been) Nomi's 70th birthday in 2014.
