The razor-sharp wit of famed stand-up Paula Poundstone will be on full display, as she slices and dices her way through an evening of keen cultural commentary. Famed for a quick mind that always manages to come up with the perfect quip, Poundstone is a master of riffing off the crowd. It's also why she's the perfect panelist for NPR's Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me!, where she's featured alongside some of the nation's leading pundits. She broke through in 1990 with her acclaimed HBO special Cats, Cops and Stuff, and was both the first woman to be invited to perform at the White House Correspondents' dinner and the first woman to win a CableACE Award for Best Stand-Up Comedy Special. Still knocking them dead as a headliner, Poundstone released her latest comedy disc, I Heart Jokes: Paula Tells Them in Boston, in April 2013, and has recently toured as part of the A Prairie Home Companion live show. She is absolutely amazing. Her voice, her connection with the audience. I always go to her show if she is in town and to be able to purchase tickets thru Goldstar made it even better. She is worth it. I have introduced at least 10 people to her and they all end up loving her.

Rrazz Productions presents Linda Eder at the Palace Of Fine Arts. It's not unusual for female singers to cite Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland as their influences, but it's quite a rare occurrence to encounter a woman who can take the songs of such legends and make them her own. Linda Eder has done just that. As her latest CD, Linda Eder Greatest Hits demonstrates, Linda possesses one of the greatest contemporary solo voices of our time. From her moving rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow to the romantic visions in Vienna to the bold and sassy Bring on the Men – Linda's voice takes wing and soars.
Over the years, Linda's passionate fans across the country have packed concert venues, including New York's prestigious Carnegie Hall. Singing with amazing power and clarity, Linda proves that she is a vocal force to be recognized as one of the great solo voices, regardless of whose music she sings. This is an evening you won't want to miss!
