Creative, vibrant, and provocative use of space, dance form, acting, the written word and music. I was totally engaged and can't wait to see her again.Written on Nov 21 2011

We absolutely loved this performance. It was amazing to be that close up to the dancers and we could really feel the performance. The dancers were very skilled and beautiful. We could listen to the actress who read from Word fro Word Theater always. It was so good, we stayed for the second performance to see it all again.Written on Nov 21 2011

Excellent performers and a great example of Modern Dance requiring grace, strength, creativity and skill. I was initially not sure of the interactive approach by the audience, but gave it a try, and found it fun and much more engaging. Bravo!Written on Nov 21 2011

About the Ticket Supplier: Liss Fain Dance
Visceral. Emotional. Compelling. Liss Fain Dance is renowned for its innovative blending of fast-paced modern dance with the clarity and vertical lift of ballet. Unlike a mixed repertory company, Liss Fain's concerts have a single construct as a unifying factor in all the evening's pieces. Through movement that is technically and structurally precise and through careful juxtaposition of individuals and groups, Ms. Fain creates the forcefulness and complexity of an emotional environment. Exemplifying the style of European contemporary dance, her work incorporates ballet's kinetic precision with the flow and movement experimentation of modern dance.
Since it's founding in 1988, Liss Fain Dance has produced vibrant, abstract pieces that are at the forefront of new approaches to integrated collaborative performances. The nine member, San Francisco based contemporary dance company performs dances that are about "shape, expression, flow and musicality."
