Co-director Dana Nachman screens and participates in a panel discussion on her powerful new documentary, executive produced by actor/activist Sean Penn, about three everyday families whose lives were irreversibly changed by acts of terrorism and how they chose to forge a path forward through love. Liz's son was murdered on 9/11. Esther's sister was killed by a bus bombing. And Ben lost his legs to a car bomb. But each rises from tragedy to reach out to others and make the world a better place. The documentary screened at New York's prestigious 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.

while it was inspiring to see how individuals dealt with the losses in their lives, i found the film to be amateurish and boring.

I am glad that I went, was moved by the stories and the hope that families were able to generate. Appreciated the discussion afterwards.

This film will be playing again in odd venues or where requested. It is an uplifting and inspiring glimpse into the lives of people who have transformed pain into kindness. On the eve of 9/11, it was especially poignant to see.
