Oh, we all loved this event and we gave her a well earned standing ovation. Witty, funny, serious, bold, creative. Excellent crowd interaction. You can tell she is very passionate about what she is doing. Her message at the very end was worth it all. Very touching, meaningful, and heartfelt. Kudos to her for being so brave and putting on this wonderful show.

Anywhere, anytime and don't forget it. This was the best entertainment I've seen all year. See this woman anytime you can, she is wonderful. My 76 yo cousin was visiting from out of town so I took a chance she would like this. Everyone in our party was just thrilled to see Ruth. Look for her around town, she is so worth the night out and more.

The Stripping Granny comes to San Francisco! Lynn Ruth Miller, 76 years old and still blooming, brings her 90-minute cabaret to Actors Theatre. Don’t miss this travesty of song and dance, a show-stealer for the past three Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, winner of the 2008 Three Weeks Editors Award and 2009 Brighton’s Latest Magazine’s Star of the Festival Award. This is musical comedy at its worst, proving that even though your body parts drop to your ankles, they still can move with enough zest to raise an eyebrow if nothing else.
Lynn Ruth Miller had been remodeling facts since Eve ate fruit. Once she began presenting her prevarications to an audience larger than her four dogs, she hit the headlines in Edinburgh in August 2005 because she jumped out of a cake (almost) and removed her clothes (not quite) on every stage that would have her. In 2008, her antics hit the headlines of The London Times and now she performs her off-key cabaret here to glorify old age and revel in the disasters it brings to the human form.
Founded in August of 1989 by a group of professional actors and directors who shared a common desire to produce ensemble theatre works, the founding members of the Actors Theatre of San Francisco committed themselves to creating a permanent repertory company whose work would reflect their ideals of ensemble theatre: a theatre where all the participants share the same artistic vision, have a unified approach to the rehearsal process and a desire to create revelatory theatre that surpasses their desire for individual gain. The founding members gave themselves no restriction as to style, content or period. Instead, they committed themselves to producing theatre that is designed to enlighten and illuminate the human condition.
