Freddy Cole Sings the Great American Songbook at the RRazz Room
- Full Price:
- $40.00
- Our Price:
- $20.00
Just in time for Valentine's Day, spend an evening with Lionel Frederick "Freddy" Cole, the youngest brother of Nat "King" Cole. There are certain unmistakable similarities between the brothers' voices and, just like Nat, Freddy plays piano and sings, yet his voice is raspier, smokier and perhaps even jazzier. Freddy Cole is a nonpareil vocal interpreter of the Great American Songbook and a superbly swinging pianist to boot. Head out to the RRazz Room with your sweetheart for a concert to remember. Enjoyed the whole evening, but especially the last part of the show when she sang some of her jazz "classics". Not only is her voice great, but she has a perky personality that makes her a fun performer to see.Written on Dec 15 2009

It was a great show - great venue - small and intimate, and we could see and hear her perfectly. She has a great personality, songs were good, and toe tapping music. Her quintet was terrific too.Written on Dec 16 2009

I was quite surprised at the set list which featured a full 1 hour of swingin' Christmas songs that were far from the usual fare for Christmas. Old Christmas tunes by the likes of Loius Armstrong, Bessie Smith, Louis Prima and other swingin' cats. Muldaur did an AWESOME job with these songs. The woman has serious blues/rock/swing style pipes! She was also very personable and fun on stage (cold as ice off stage in the lobby).Written on Dec 16 2009
