Vocalist Maria Muldaur's roots are in the folk revival of the early '60s where she performed in Greenwhich Village with Bob Dylan, David Grisman and John Sebastian. In 1974 her hit, "Midnight at the Oasis," charted at #6 in the Billboard Hot 100 and in the late 70s she joined Jerry Garcia's Band. Recent releases include the Grammy nominated 2005 release "Sweet Lovin' Ol' Soul," and her latest "Yes We Can!" where Muldaur sings out for peace with high profile collaborators in "The Women's Voices for Peace Choir" including Joan Baez, Phoebe Snow, Jane Fonda, Bonnie Raitt, Odetta, Holly Near and more.
Maria's new album Maria Muldaur and her Garden of Joy! will be released on the Stony Plain label in September. Her Rrazz Room debut will be an evening of jazz & blues & holiday favorites!
