I had forgotten how wonderful the original had been. The writing was clean, sharp and delivered smoothly.

Great and the audience added an 'enthusiastic' addition to the event.

I especially enjoyed the On Stage Discussion before the movie: very informative, learned a lot about Robert Altman's life and how each of the participants related to his directing style, his philosophy, love of life, compassion and memorable stature as a human being.

Description

SF Sketchfest is honored to present one of cinema's all-time classics, Robert Altman's M*A*S*H, with two of the iconic film's stars and frequent Altman collaborators Elliott Gould and Sally Kellerman in attendance along with the late director's wife, Kathryn Altman. These special guests will participate in a conversation and Q&A preceding the screening of the darkly comic 1970 film, which also stars Donald Sutherland, Tom Skerritt, Robert Duvall, Bud Cort, Rene Auberjonois, Gary Burghoff, and Fred Williamson. The movie, set during the Korean War (with a strong subtext addressing the controversy of the Vietnam War), received critical and audience acclaim and inspired a franchise to follow with the popular television series of the same name.
