The chanteuse, who started her performing career in the clubs of New York and Los Angeles, has exploded into one of today's most compelling international concert artists and returns to the Rrazz Room for these three shows. Maude Maggart is the scion of an acclaimed show business family: her grandmother starred in George White's Scandals, her grandfather was the star vocalist for the famed Harry James Big Band, her parents met while performing with Lauren Bacall in the Broadway musical Applause and her sister is Fiona Apple. Maggart's talent stands on its own and this will be an exceptional chance to catch this vocal talent.

Smooth Soul at the Rrazz Room With the Dramatics

Full Price:
$50.00
Our Price:
$25.00

Enjoy some classic smooth soul and quiet storm R&B in the sophisticated and intimate setting of the Rrazz Room, one of San Francisco's premiere night clubs. In their early '70s heyday, the Dramatics were an anomaly: a Detroit singing group signed not to their famed hometown label, Motown, but to the legendary Southern soul label Stax/Volt. Their sound, as heard on hit singles like "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" and "In the Rain," straddles both worlds, combining the Temptations-like silky-smooth harmonies of Motown with the earthiness of Memphis-style soul. Still performing after more than 40 years, the group features veteran member L.J. Reynolds along with Willie Ford, Donald Albert and Winzell Kelly. Learn More

This is the 5th time I have seen Maude. If the opportunity comes up to see her, run, do not walk to whereever she is performing. She gets better every year.

Maude Maggart is our number one favorite cabaret performer. Her repertoire always includes standards yet she finds many wonderful obscure classic songs from the 1920s and 1930s which an audience wouldn't otherwise be exposed to. Have seen her perform several times in different venues over the years and yet she never disappoints.
If you enjoy painful songs in a dark room with a beautiful voice surrounded by kindred spirits, do not miss her performance when she is again in town.

This is the fourth time we've seen Maude and she keeps getting better and better. Her emotional, beautiful delivery, her honest witty banter, charming but not overdone, makes you feel like you're at an intimate party, listening to the voice born out of the stars she sings about. A new song, written by David Lucky (see iTunes under his name), made my wife and my eyes start to tear up. She's smart, sexy and sweet. Go see her...now!
