I love comedy, so I thought why not, for 6 bucks?! I read the reviews and decided to go for my Mom's B-day. She loved it, we laughed and the BYOB was great. I will definately go back for more.

The headliner to the show I went was Ali Mafi which is the reason why i'm giving this 4 stars. He's awesome and I haven't laughed this hard at a stand-up comedy show in a very long time. If Ali Mafi wasn't there, I'd give this show 3 stars. The comics before Ali were average to good and did entertain the crowd. :-)

First off, nobody is naked. So don't be disappointed.

We loved the MC. She was actually more funny than all the comics. There are a lot of comedians, for $6 it was a steal. Some were hilarious, some okay and some just not prepared. There is always that one male comic that is so excited to to use the word "vagina" onstage. As if that's so profound. There were about two of those guys.

You can bring your own alcohol. I highly recommend this. The comics will then be more clever and amusing.

For the most part it was a great show. One of the performers was not quite up to par. Still a great night of laughs!

We had a party of 10 and everyone had a great time. The comedians were great and byob was a nice touch. The only complaint was that our group had to sit apart and some had to sit in the hallway. Of course, had we been on time, we probably could have sit together.

The Clubhouse always has an impressive lineup, and you really get a lot for your money- 5-6 comics. . The Saturday shows seem to showcase more experienced talent, and you won't be disappointed! My favorite regulars are Joe Klocek and Ali Mafi.

    Naked Comedy 3rd Nov 2007
It's not that the comedians were bad, it's that the audience were treated with utter disrespect by the organisers. I had been under the impression that:
    a) The headliner was Aundre the Wonderowoman
    b) Aundre the Wonderwoman was a woman other than the woman who appeared on stage (not as the headliner) claiming to be Aundre the Wonderwoman

What happened instead was that someone falsely claiming to be aundre the wonderwoman came on for a 5 minute act, and then another headliner came on after. Not quite what i signed up for. And it's not about the money, the tickets were so reasonably priced. It's about the integrity. Had i known that cheap tickets mean cheap, lying venue organisers, then i would have chosen other ways to pass my saturday night. Not to mention how stupid i looked to all my friends whom i dragged along to see the headliner, Aundre the wonderwoman.
I would have fully appreciated an honest explanation for the last minute change of plan, rather than improvisation and hoping no one would notice. I will certainly not be returning to the Comedy warehouse!

Getting up to the showroom was a little shaky... small, slow elevator in old building.... the venue itself was "intimate", the seats were... basic... the airflow.... restricted (read: warm room)... but despite all of these small inconveniences, the show was first rate. We laughed so hard the tears flowed down our faces!

Wasnt too bad. It was kind of funny for being a comedy college. A lot of the acts were entertaining but their headliner for the night was having a hard time getting the jokes right and having people follow. Kind of disappointing as the acts got slower and slower as the night went on.

I wish we could judge all of the comedians individually. Marga was great as always and she would get 3.8 stars. Most of her jokes I had not heard before. About 20 percent of the jokes were recycled. The fellas that opened - hmmm. They had some funny jokes but none of them had me rolling or laughing as hard as Marga. The crazy drunk lady in the audience did not help because it kind of threw some of them off track a bit. The guy from Trinidad was the best out of the openers. The show also started late. I wish Marga's set had been longer and the guys sets shorter.

Liked most of the performers, but loved the Goldstar price!
    Such a laid-back, patron-friendly atmosphere.
For a Saturday evening, downtown locale, you can't beat this entertainment per dollar, bring your own snack opportunity. We'll be back (with better food and drink).

Great location near Union Square... although the place is lacking in mixed drinks, a waitstaff, and / or food (there is a snack machine)- its a no frills BYOB place with many attendees bringing their own beer, wine, glasses, munchee's, etc.

The quality of the various comics was OUTSTANDING especially for the $6.00

Great affordable comedy - check it out

Incredible value for the money. Live comedy for $6 (+ $3 service charge)! Absolutely unbeatable entertainment value. Some comedians were incredibly funny - others less so. Pervasive reliance on stories about bodily functions of various kinds - a rather immature mechanism for evoking humor. But, then again, the same can be said for television and movies, so it's hard to complain I suppose. Long delay at the door to pick up tickets, which delayed the start of the show. If you are willing to push to the front of the line and say that you have purchased tickets through Goldstar, the ticket person may let you jump the queue; but, be prepared for some odd looks from those who have been standing in line for 20 minutes.
    Enjoy!

over 5 standup comedians, you can bring our own drinks and not have to buy 2 drink minimums like at cobbs or punchline where there's usually only 3 comedians. It lasted 2 hours and was really good. only comment would be chairs aren't that comfortable and if you get there early you can get the one love seat there. Also, when you leave, you have to go down 5 flights of stairs because everyone can't fit in the elevator, but compared to the triple price you would pay at a regular comedy club, it was worth it. have a joke ready so you can get free tix for future performances.

Nice intimate room. All seats are good. Price was good. Seven comedians. Most were good, especially Bengt Washburn and Sal Calanni. Sound and lighting were good. One of the women comics was more of a beginner. The show lasted about 100 minutes so it was a fine value. The emcee, Adam, had good presence but his material was not too meaty, and his hair kept falling into his face, which was distracting. And he had a few stereotyped lines that many emcees have, but he handled the crowd well.

A decent lineup of standup comedians. We laughed a lot, but there were some uncomfortable moments as well, and an overreliance on jokes about racial stereotypes.

Four out of the five comedians were really funny, an excellent value for your entertainment dollar! The venue is a bit crowded but well-ventilated, which helps. They provide free popcorn and cookies, and a very welcoming attitude towards their guests. I recommend getting there at least 15 minutes early if you go on a Saturday night, as seats fill up very quickly. Also, Goldstar is totally the way to go as the shows sell out!!

Some of the comics were great, some of the comics were not so great, some were in the middle. Very interesting to process to watch as the comics try to improve and learn. But a great night overall. The staff was very friendly and With the liquor store on the corner, having this event as a BYOB is awesome! We all had a great night out and a great price. Can't beat it! I would like to attend this again if I ever make it up to the city. If someone is looking for a good bargain to go out and about in the city, I would recommend this to anyone!
