Performing in the style of the popular TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway, the troupe uses audience suggestions and participation for every scene. In addition to improv comedy, the night will feature some of the Bay Area's top standup comics, including Tony Sparks, Sammy Wegent, Ali Wong and Big Al Gonzales.

The Award-winning Big City Improv Troupe is thrilled to headline another New Year’s Eve in San Francisco. Join the troupe for a hilarious night of comedy Saturday, December 31st, 2005 as the troupe will ring in the new year with two special shows. Big City Improv will perform at 8pm and 10pm at the Shelton Theater, just steps from Union Square. Performing in the style of the popular TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway, the troupe uses audience suggestions and participation for every scene. In addition to improv comedy, the night will feature some of the Bay Area’s top standup comics, including Tony Sparks, Sammy Wegent, Ali Wong and Big Al Gonzales. Voted Best Improv Troupe in the Bay Area, Big City Improv has been featured on KRON-TV, in The Oakland Tribune, The San Francisco Examiner, The East Bay Express, The Guardian and on KCBS radio. The troupe’s 10 members have been performing together for over five years.
Big City Improv has been making things up for more than seven years. With a cast of 10, the troupe performs to audiences all over the Bay Area, including Comedy On The Square in San Francisco. Big City Improv shows are unscripted, unedited and created on the spot, using audience suggestions, participation and their dark and sordid lies. In 2002, Big City Improv was voted "Best of The Bay" for improv comedy by The SF Guardian.
