SOLD OUT

Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon is the world's longest-running musical revue. Since 1974, this San Francisco institution has followed Snow White on a musical comedy quest around the world, where she runs into satirically portrayed pop-culture and political celebrities, an impressive array of gigantic hats, and one show-stopping musical number after another. Because the show is constantly updated with new costumes, hats and characters, it rewards repeat visits. Among the familiar faces you might see spoofed in Beach Blanket's latest incarnation: Lady Gaga, Barack and Michelle Obama, the cast of Glee, Kate Middleton and Adele. Even after nearly 40 years, Beach Blanket Babylon remains one of San Francisco's wildest evenings of live entertainment. Learn More

The show, as all REAF shows are, was nonstop entertainment and endless fun. And I think it was obvious that the performers were loving the crowd response as much as we loved them. Would've liked a bit more Grease and Burn The Floor but I suppose the show would've been 5 hours long, oh well! ha ha

One complaint was the drunks behind me in the rear cabaret. Apparently the staff of Club Fugazi feels it's appropriate to serve 2 bottles of champagne to 2 people over the course of a few hours. This pair would not shut up and rebelled when told to do so. Unfortunately, I think it might influence which REAF fundraisers I attend and whether there's the potential for obnoxious audience behavior.

Last night was AWESOME!!! It was great to see the actress, Patty Duke in person. The Music and Cast from Wicked and Grease sang beautifully songs from those musicals as well as "Fat Camp", "The Wild Party", "High School Musical 3" and others. There was the spoken word, an auction and I can NOT forget the dancers from "Burn The Floor" WOW!! This was a GREAT Event!!

I am glad I went!

A fun filled evening with some wonderful performances. I enjoyed every moment of it. The hilarious, the moving and the downright silly stuff. The auction was also really exciting to watch.

The hosts were wonderful in getting the crowd excited. It was probably a good opportunity for the broadway stars to let their hair down and have some fun too!
