The performances were absolutely fantastic. Great to know they all donated their time and talents for this fundraiser. I was unaware of Teal Wicks (Elphaba in Wicked) prior to last night, but I am a HUGE fan today.Written on Dec 08 2009
On the technical side, the lighting was sloppy the whole show and the sound technicians had some oops moments. Mainly, the bass was the only instrument you could hear for some of the songs - luckily the performer mics were always a tad louder, so you didn't miss the vocals.
Just a quick note - this theatre does not have bathrooms. You have to go outside, downstairs, around Boudin's and use the public restroom. Considering how freezing cold it's been lately, this was the worst part of the night and why I didn't give the evening four stars. I would not recommend seeing shows at the Pier 39 Theatre during cold snaps.

Wonderful, wonderful. I'm sorry they didn't do it again. I wish I had seen Lucie Arnaz at the Rrazz room. I hope she comes to San Francisco again. I was fortunate to see her father play the guitar and sing locally many times when I lived in Mexico. He stayed at the hotel I worked in. Everyone loved Desi. His daughter reminds me of him; warm and charming and talented.Written on Jan 26 2011

Well done Charity event. The theatre is cozy and intimate. Lucy Arnaz and ALL the cast were wonderful. Well done event. Unfortunately, Patty Duke caught pneumonia and so was unable to attend (which is why 4 not 5 stars.)Written on Dec 08 2009

A variety of musical acts with a seasonal theme. Some of the acts were great but many were below expected professional standards. The evening was somewhat entertaining but we were grateful it was all for charity. The lack of restrooms and non-specific directions where to find them (out in the December cold) was frustrating.Written on Dec 08 2009
