The storyline idea was there but the male actor seemed a bit stiff for the frivolity required to make this play work for me.Written on Dec 05 2011

My longtime "boyfriend" and I just loved this. I thought it would be very "low brow" (ahem!), but after seeing all the good reviews, I gave it a shot. Well, glad I did! It is clever, very well-performed, touching and very funny. Take everyone you know - they will all relate!!Written on Dec 06 2010

I don't normally like musicals, especially Broadway musicals, but this one is completely different from those.Written on Sep 13 2010
This show has fun, clever and funny songs (and storyline) about one couple and their evolving relationship.
Great acting, wonderful voices, too. Lots of humor throughout.
If you liked "Are we there yet?", a clever musical from the same writer a few years ago, then you'll really like this show as well.

A modern informed look at relationships and the compromises they require. My girlfriend and I went on our Anniversary and loved it. Great lyrics, spirited music and performances. We were in tears a few times.Written on Nov 17 2010

Description
Written and directed by Morris Bobrow
Jennifer Ekman is excited to be in her second Morris Bobrow production after performing in Shopping! The Musical for eight months. She has performed with theatre groups all over the Bay Area, including 42nd Street Moon, Theatre 39 at Pier 39 and Diablo Light Opera Company (now Diablo Theatre Company), among others. Favorite roles include Cathy in The Last Five Years (Masquers Playhouse), Janine in Ben Franklin in Paris (42nd Street Moon) and, of course, various roles in Shopping! The Musical (AWAT Productions). She received a BA in Drama and a minor in Vocal Performance at Ithaca College and continues her studies at Studio ACT when she has the time.
Scott Gessford is also thrilled to be "back with the gang" performing in his second Morris Bobrow show, having spent a year in Shopping! The Musical. His other Bay Area credits include tick…tick…Boom! and Falsettos for Theatre Rhinoceros, Putting It Together at Custom House Theatre, and The Rocky Horror Show with Ray of Light Theatre Company.
