Smooth Soul at the Rrazz Room With the Dramatics
- Full Price:
- $50.00
- Our Price:
- $25.00
Enjoy some classic smooth soul and quiet storm R&B in the sophisticated and intimate setting of the Rrazz Room, one of San Francisco's premiere night clubs. In their early '70s heyday, the Dramatics were an anomaly: a Detroit singing group signed not to their famed hometown label, Motown, but to the legendary Southern soul label Stax/Volt. Their sound, as heard on hit singles like "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" and "In the Rain," straddles both worlds, combining the Temptations-like silky-smooth harmonies of Motown with the earthiness of Memphis-style soul. Still performing after more than 40 years, the group features veteran member L.J. Reynolds along with Willie Ford, Donald Albert and Winzell Kelly. Learn More

The band was awesome and very entertaining. The Escovido Clan are very personable and very down to earth people. The Rrazz Club is very intimate and nice. During the last song we partied like rock stars. It was so great even my young daughter is still talking about the show. She was so happy to see and finally meet the legend. Simply amazing performers. What a great start to a wonderful weekend!Written on Dec 11 2010

Pete Escovedo was magnificent. And his two sons and the rest of the orchestra was stellar. He gets better the longer he performs.A great time was had by all. Probably the best gig I've seen at the Rzazz Room.Written on Mar 22 2010

This was my first time at the Rrazz room and I must say it was excellent! Mr. D, was polite and engaging. Drinks were okay, but food was quite good. Limited menu, but what they do serve is delicious. Music was excellent. Just the right amount of downhome casual mixed with jazz you knew with a little Pete Escovedo flair.Written on Mar 23 2010
