We almost rated higher but could not because a couple of acts were way below the basic acceptable and perhaps the evening was the culprit that made these two acts really bad. Do not even go on stage if you are unable to speak... Great MC and Featured comedians, though and we loved the venue. We hope to go back there with the hope that the whole show is like the best of this one.Written on Jan 02 2012

New Year's Eve began dancing on the best BART ride ever; a 6 piece live band climbed on and partied with us to S.F. amidst loud clapping and cheering. So we arrived in a great mood ready to have fun. The show started 40 min. late, during which time we tried to have a shouting conversation over ear splitting bad disco music. Our drinks took over half an hour to arrive. We came to hear headliner Big Al Gonzales. Instead we listened to 5 other comics for over an hour. Some of us liked Justin Harrison; the rest ranged from terrible to an occasional laugh. We loved Big Al for the 15 min. he performed until midnight. The champagne toast countdown was anti-climatic since many in the audience had not received their champagne. Big Al was funny for another 15 min., much of that time spent presiding over getting champagne for the audience and trying multiple times to reach his wife on his cell phone. We missed the midnight S.F. fireworks we had planned on seeing. Still, we had some fun, despite our Purple Onion experience.Written on Jan 03 2012
