This tour was broken down into segments. We were picked up at our hotel, and proceeded to pick up the others at their hotels, which took about an hour. I was unaware of this- I thought there was one starting point. We had 19 people on our tour, so this could get really lengthy if it was a full bus. As a bonus, our driver Rick stopped at the lookout point after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge for 10 minutes so we could take photos. Then we proceeded to Muir Woods. There is a $5.00 per person charge we were not aware of to get into the woods. We didn't mind but a few people in our group did not go in. We were given an hour at this stop. For us, it was enough time. We were able to do the 4 bridges loop and get more than enough photos. Then we drove to the first winery, Jacuzzi. I would call this a "wine tasting" tour of wineries, for you don't see or learn anything about the process of wine making. Maybe time of year (April) has something to do with that. There are also signs on the road that say they do complimentary tastings. We were here 45 minutes. Then we had an hour for lunch in Sonoma. We chose the Swiss Hotel, and sat outside, for the weather was perfect. We proceeded to 2 other wineries Chateau St. Jean & Cline with the same experience and time allotment. We rode back, and dropped off the other guests. The tour includes the ride, and driver commentary, nothing else. I would say for the money, it was ok.
You’ll enjoy the morning exploring the spectacular Redwood Sequoia trees at Muir Woods, then relax in the afternoon while your tour guide introduces you to the California Wine Country. You’ll visit three small boutique Sonoma wineries, spending 45 minutes to an hour at each.
_This is an all-day tour. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Layers are recommended, as it can be cool.
