Two Berkeley women come to realize they have more in common than they ever knew before in Reunion, a world premiere drama from SF Playhouse and Playground. Penned by local playwright Kenn Rabin (How to Chop Wood, Blackbird), Reunion centers on Julie and Valerie, a pair of women who went to the same high school and have ended up in the same town. Now they must contend with the fact that they both also slept with a teacher at their high school back in the day -- and the reality that he's about to be released from prison.

Yes, it does get hot. A seat by the door helps, as the actors use it for entrances and exits!

Excellent acting, storyline, and character development.

However, the underlying subject matter is very heavy and serious. This is NOT a comedy at all...it is strictly a drama.

The description of the play on Goldstar is extremely misleading.

Hard to believe this was the 1st night preview. Although I was riveted to my seat, I wouldn't use the descriptive "entertaining", instead I would say enlightening or.... anyhow, it left me basically speechless. Definitely recommend it. Wish I could see it again for the first time.

About the Ticket Supplier: The San Francisco Playhouse

The aim of the SF Playhouse is to provide a creative home and inspiring environment where actors, directors, writers, designers and theater lovers converge to create works that celebrate the human spirit. Founded by Bill English and Susi Damilano in 2003, SF Playhouse is Union Square's intimate, professional theatre. Using professional actors and world-class design, the SF Playhouse -- which won the Bay Guardian's 2006 Best Off Broadway Theatre Award and about which the San Francisco Chronicle raved "San Francisco's newest theatre isn't just another tiny stage carved out of a storefront...it's an enticing introduction to a new company" -- has become an intimate theatre alternative to the traditional Union Square theatre fare, garnering 20 Bay Area Theatre Critic nominations in its first year.
