This is as good as his previous one-man shows which were ground breaking in their upbeat handling of serious and touching issues as well as amazingly honest and refreshing. The stories range from sweet to painful to horrible but it is all true and you laugh and sympathize all the way through.

This was not a comedy...this was catharsis, and not for the audience...a real disappointment and a depressing performance. I was going for laughs and all I could feel was how pitiful Rick's life had become...he was clearly in a lot of pain, and lost...
Theatre, altho live, can sometimes not feel as intimate as cinema. This show is an exception. At hyper speed,& with heart, Reynolds shares his quirky responses to pain, loss, & sadness with impeccable timing and to hilarious effect. I believed him that he told us about real events and real people in his life, & I was touched by his vulnerability &, ultimately, his resilience.I laughed a lot, but it certainly was not at him: he embraced his audience with his openness while offering us a peek at the human-ness we share.

And No Place To Go" (which was spun off into the CBS sit-com “Life and Stuff”) left off.
According to Rick, "When I performed ‘Happiness’ at The Marsh two years ago I didn't feel that the show’s theme (life is hard but totally worth it) was as clear as it could be, so I've channeled Frank Capra in an effort to nail the damned thing," says the award-winning monologist. "I've spent the last year of my life putting this show together and I'm absolutely sure it's the best thing I've ever done.
