For the fifth year, the Tempranillo Advocates, Producers and Amigos Society (TAPAS) is hosting the most extensive annual tasting of domestically-produced Tempranillos, AlbariƱos, Garnachas, Verdelhos, and many more, from the wine regions of the western United States. Attendees can sample wines from participating producers and growers, including limited-production, family-owned wineries who will be pouring wines that are not widely available to the public. The casual, walk-around setting allows guests to chat with the winemakers and growers, who will be on hand to discuss their selections. Learn More

We found it interesting and a much larger event than we expected. My husband was surprized that it is essentially a trade show of artifacts and collectables, and the items were available for sale (if you are in the famous 1%. I enjoyed being able to get up close, touch and talk to the vendors about the history and culture related to interesting and beautiful items.Written on Feb 13 2012

The show was very interesting, but overwhelmingly large. I enjoyed it very much, but I would have preferred more textiles and less African art.Written on Feb 14 2011

Despite the array of "tribal arts" of various cultures, and despite my own appreciation for such art, I was not wowed by this event. The types of crafts displayed was not as varied as I'd hoped. There were many rugs, and at least some jewelry, but not as wide a variety of jewelry as I'd expected, and not as many masks as I'd have liked. The toys of indigenous cultures were also underrepresented. And too much of the work was far out of my price range.Written on Jul 30 2011
The friend who attended with me, a jewelry designer and fabricator, was also not especially excited by the show.
I did appreciate the generous exhibit space of Ft. Mason, and the light, and the fact that refreshments and seating were available.

I thought this was a museum type show but turned out to be a vendor event. Vendors were more interested in selling then providing information about the items they had on exhibit.Written on Feb 16 2011
