International Boogie Woogie Festival: Bob Seeley & More
$20.00 - $35.00
$10.00 - $17.50*
American legend Bob Seeley joins some of the world's best blues pianists for the SF International Boogie Woogie Festival. After gaining popularity in the late 1930s with its infectious up-tempo take on the blues, boogie-woogie's ability to make you get up and dance has remained strong through today. As a young teen, Bob Seeley became a protégé of trailblazing pianist Meade "Lux" Lewis and later played with Art Tatum, Eubie Blake and Sippie Wallace. Also performing are the United Kingdom's Carl Sonny Leyland; Switzerland's Ambasssador of Boogie-Woogie, Silvan Zingg; Spain's Lluis Coloma; and Wendy DeWitt, of the annually celebrated Queens of Boogie Woogie concerts.
