    The Second annual San Francisco Shag Jam features 1930s music, dance and culture. The three-day festival features the Collegiate Ball Shag Jam Championships with the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, the Mobsters Ball with Dean Mora's Modern Swingtet and Varsity Drag with JP & The Rhythm Chasers. Plus, dances, workshops and competitions each day.

    A do not miss, making their San Francisco debut! Band leader Dean Mora is bringing up from Los Angeles, CA his hot jazz seven piece band. You'll hear the famous small groups of the 1930s/1940s, such as Tommy Dorsey's Clambake Seven, Artie Shaw's Gramercy Five, the Ellingtonians, and the John Kirby Orchestra.
