Widely considered to be one of the top three ballet companies in America, San Francisco Ballet invites you to attend three performances from its 2014 season in the opulent War Memorial Opera House. This package allows you to see some of the most exciting dance performances in the country, some of them being staged for the first time ever. Your SF Ballet experience begins with the season opener, Giselle. One the greatest romantic ballets in the classical repertory, this is the heartbreaking tale of a peasant girl with a fragile heart, a passion for dancing and a weakness for a man who belongs to someone else. Next, you'll attend a program of three ballets that includes an exciting world premiere by Val Caniparoli, as well as encore presentations of two critically acclaimed works from the 2013 season. The final performance is Cinderella, Christopher Wheeldon's magical new production of the fairy tale ballet that was so popular last year it's been brought back for another round. This was the best ballet I have seen in many many years. The dancers were amazing, the stage sets were creatively spectacular , the costumes very colorful and the music was great. I would definitely see it again. I hope they come back to SF.
