Marimba music, ballet-infused folklorico dance, accordion-fueled norteño music and other musical performance styles from Mexico, El Salvador, Chile and beyond come together for Monsignor Romero: A Unity Song. Celebrating the life and foundation of the great Catholic activist Óscar Romero, Brava Theater Center presents such exhilarating Latin performers as Mexican political singer-songwriter Francisco Herrera, Chilean cellist and folk singer Mochi Parra and El Salvadoran dance sensations Ballet Teatro Mauricio Bonilla, performing for the first time in the U.S. from their homeland. This was the best ballet I have seen in many many years. The dancers were amazing, the stage sets were creatively spectacular , the costumes very colorful and the music was great. I would definitely see it again. I hope they come back to SF.

This was a wonderful performance. The dancers were superbly trained and technically excellent! I was surprised and disappointed to see so few people in the audience. Perhaps this company didn't advertise well. We were upgraded to orchestra...continued
