Smooth Soul at the Rrazz Room With the Dramatics

Full Price:
$50.00
Our Price:
$25.00

Enjoy some classic smooth soul and quiet storm R&B in the sophisticated and intimate setting of the Rrazz Room, one of San Francisco's premiere night clubs. In their early '70s heyday, the Dramatics were an anomaly: a Detroit singing group signed not to their famed hometown label, Motown, but to the legendary Southern soul label Stax/Volt. Their sound, as heard on hit singles like "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" and "In the Rain," straddles both worlds, combining the Temptations-like silky-smooth harmonies of Motown with the earthiness of Memphis-style soul. Still performing after more than 40 years, the group features veteran member L.J. Reynolds along with Willie Ford, Donald Albert and Winzell Kelly. Learn More

Scott was entirely new to me (I going more for the Wicked/Spamalot aspect) but what an enjoyable entertainer! Obviously he has a loyal following already which helped me to ease into the evening without feeling like an outsider. I walked away purchasing both of his cds.

The concert was amazing. Scott is an incredible performer/songwriter on his own. It was fabulous having cast members from Spamalot and Wicked their to sing his songs.

The only problem with the evening was overbilling for drinks in the Rrazz Room. They don't like to admit that they have overcharged you $40.00!

I may not have been the target audience for this event, but enjoyed it anyway despite the late hour of the show.

11:30 at night, and I still had a GREAT time! Scott's first gig in SF proved to be as wonderful as expected from the super CD my friends in NYC had urged me to buy. He tells great stories and is very funny and sassy in person. His "friends" from WICKED and Spamalot did him proud by doing some of his tunes, but the man himself just soared. Perfect room and perfect music man. I will be there the next time he heads this way.
