This play was fantastic start to finish. These two amazingly talented actors made this one of the best plays I have seen. The show is hilarious and touching.
Donald Corren and Judy Kaye play off each other beautifully. The story is told through the eyes of Ms. Jenkins' longtime accompanist, Cosme McMoon (Corren) and he keeps the show moving along at a brisk clip due to his spot-on comic timing and hilarious reactions. Judy Kaye is, of course, the consummate pro, delivering a master class in comic acting. Both of these actors deliver moments that are both "catch your breath" funny and "tear inducing" touching.
Go and see this show! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. The seats I received through Goldstar were fantastic! I plan on trying to see it again before it closes!
Great show! Judy Kaye is unbelievably good, pulling off such a difficult role. Show is also very funny. I would not mind seeing it again.
I am a HUGE fan of Judy Kaye, so I had to see her in this production. She did not disappoint and was excellent as the delusional Florence Foster Jenkins with perfect comic timing and an ironic off-key singing that only a trained singer could pull off...
I also quite enjoyed Donald Corren as Cosme McMoon--his piano playing ability along with his sarcastic overtones laced in with "support" for Ms. Jenkins carried this two-person performance well above my expectations.
The set was simple and aesthetically pleasing to look at; overall a great production!

The Geary Theater, built in 1909, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a San Francisco City Landmark. The theater's neo-classical brick and terra cotta facade on Geary Street opens to a monumental 1,500 seat auditorium trimmed with ornamental stenciling and gilded plaster.
