Stateless weaves a century of German, Jewish and African American history with contemporary hip-hop music, beat-box vocal rhythms and vaudeville. The play is inspired by the true story of co-writer Dan Wolf's family history, beginning with his great-grandfather, who was part of a singing group responsible for one of the most popular songs in German history.
