Photographer Stephen Shore Discusses His Latest Work
Known for his pioneering use of color, photographer Stephen Shore comes to the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco to present his latest photobook From Galilee to the Negev, an exploration of Israel and the West Bank. Shore is a self-taught artist who began his career at age 14 after three of his photos were purchased by the Museum of Modern Art. He was a friend of Andy Warhol, worked at the Factory and traveled the United States shooting. His talk will be hosted by Sandra Phillips, Senior Curator of Photography at SFMOMA.
