Get ready for a weekend outing filled with drinks and entertainment at the San Francisco Craft Spirits Carnival by the producers of SF Vintners Market. New this year is the Craft Beer Saloon, where you can sample dozens of craft beers from the Bay Area and beyond. And as always, enjoy included, unlimited tastings of more than 100 brands of craft spirits. Whether your thing is whiskey, bourbon, vodka, tequila, mezcal, grappa or even absinthe, there'll be a wide array of varieties to taste and compare. If you find something amazing, you can purchase a bottle to-go on the spot! While you wander and browse, watch the edgy vaudeville-style carnival performers, including an aerialist, trapeze acts, fire eaters, sword swallowers, knife throwers, contortionists, burlesque and much more. It's the world's largest tasting room for spirits. Learn More
Grapes native to the Iberian Peninsula produce some of the hottest-selling wines on the market right now, but not many people know that there are excellent and unique domestic versions being grown, too. Consumers will have the unique opportunity to taste wines produced by TAPAS members, including many limited-production, family-owned wineries that will be pouring small lot wines that are not widely available.
The event will include a silent auction featuring special wines and other great items.
A special feature of this year’s Grand Wine Tasting is the TAPAS Wine School, included in the admission price. Enjoy two special seminars:
2:30-3:00pm – Exotic Iberian Varietals — Sommelier Ellen Landis will lead guests through a magical tasting of exotic Iberian varieties grown by the West’s avant-garde vintners.
3:30-4:00pm – Albariños — Wine Chef Tony Lawrence will explore the range and diversity of Spain’s noble white grape grown in American soils.
