Discover the deliciousness of domestically produced Spanish wine varietals at this seventh annual tasting sponsored by TAPAS (Tempranillo Advocates, Producers and Amigos Society). This is the most extensive tasting of Tempranillos and other crowd-pleasing Spanish varietals produced by local wineries. Held at the beautiful Golden Gate Club at the Presidio, this wine tasting event allows you to sample Tempranillos, Albariños, Garnachas, Verdelhos, Tourigas, and many other varieties in a casual walk-around setting with ample opportunity to chat with the growers and producers to learn more about their wines. Go beyond the Cabernets, Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that dominate the California market and try these fast-growing varietals, many of which come from family-owned wineries that produce only small amounts that aren't widely available. If you find something you like, you can buy it and impress your friends or a date with your selection. In addition to the tasting, there will be a silent auction and the TAPAS Wine School, featuring short afternoon seminars, to include dessert wines made with Iberian varieties.
