Imagine a 5 course dinner with all the trimmings.
This is an eating experience that is truly unique.
You will leave San Francisco for 3 hours and enter the enchanting world of Teatro Zinzanni - imagine being at a three ring circus of cabaret with the circus going on everywhere around you.

Ok so first let me say this was not my first time going more like my 5th and will not be my last for sure... The show itself was amazing as usual from start to finish got to see Caesar who is great and if you can go before he leaves you must. Not a bad seat in the house at all despite some other reviews and great for any special occasion like ours my daughter's sweet 16 or if you have friends from out of town you want to show a good time.. There was 7 of us and even though we had to buy the tickets in two groups that was fine since we saved almost $500.00 using goldstar and still were able to sit together all it took was a call to Teatro directly and they were more then happier to do that for us!!! This show is worth every penny the food is great wish there were bigger portions only cause it was so good.. I would tell anyone who wants to have blast and isn't looking for a cheap evening you must go at least once... You might just end up hooked like me. I have seen five different shows and cast and it hasn't gotten old for me at all.. if anything I have grown to become a bigger fan. This was my first gold star event and everything couldn't have been easier... Basically its my opinion that Teatro Zinzanni is totally worth the full price ticket rate but if you can grab some on gold star and get the discounted ones even better...

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. It's one of those places where you drive past it a million times and always wonder what it is. Teatro is a place where everyone can come enjoy themselves, young, old, it doesn't matter. The cast involves the audience, keeping the experience even more up close and personal! This was my 7th visit to the Teatro Tent, and I only wish that I could have found GoldStar before, thank you for the discounted tickets! Now I know I'll be going here even more often!

We had a fabulous night at Teatro Zinzanni. By the end of the night, I ached from laughing so hard. I've never been so entertained. The food was fabulous and the entertainment stellar. We went with three generations and everyone loved it. I can't wait to see it again.
We were able to sit together as requested, thanks Goldstar for submitting this request.

The show was amazing & exciting to watch! The dinner was exceptional, too! I didn't know what to think prior to going, I bought the tickets because it was my husband's & my anniversary and I wanted to have a day loaded with new things to do and enjoy. Little did I know that this show would be the most memorable & fun thing we experienced in the entire day!! Thanks so much Goldstar for making our first year anniversary so wonderful & exciting!

One could easily pay for just a dinner with piano accompaniment instead of the great and sometimes hilarious experience of Teatro Zinzanni. The show surprises at every turn while the delicious food is delivered hot by intriguingly dressed waiters and waitresses. There is never a dull moment but many unexpected, entertaining ones. I would highly recommend this for anywhere from two people to a large group. It makes for a wonderful, memorable evening. Anita & Mar

I took my friends for my 60th birthday. I had loved the show before and wanted to see it again for this milestone. I was concerned we would not be sitting together because I bought 6 tickets, 4 and 2, but they were already combined when I got there and everything was done smoothly. We all had a great time, especially me because I wanted them all to like it and you just never know. The acts and the food were delightful. Something special.

The show was great, the food FANTASTIC, in particular the soup. I also had the chicken which was extremely moist and delicious. I really loved the crazy chef and the hula hoop man, this was an excellent night out.
One wrd of warning though, we did take BART and planned on taking the F train, only to find out there wouldn't be an F train running. We had planned the taxi to retun to BART, but not the 20 block run/walk to the show, in heels no less. If you go, take your own car. It's a far better idea!

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday 05/13/09 and had an awesome time. I was entertained from beginning to end, and have no real complaints. It was so entertaining that our cheeks were hurting from so much laughter! I recommend this show to anyone and everyone! We drove from Sacramento and it was all worth it!

The performance very professional and exciting. The ways they bring our dishes out are very special. The only thing I don't like is the vegetables are bitter and the meat too hard. I'd asked soy sauce and hot sauce, they don't have it.

Great Show, on Sunday Oct 10th, 2008. Great Experience. Fun and Loving. Romantic and Hillarious. Seductive, Erotic and Entertaining. And the food was delicious. I competed to become Romeo, and won. Celebrated 1st year wedding anniversary with strangers and had a blast.

My mom laughed and laughed. This show is truly grand. the theater in the round as we were lucky enough sit center stage. My wife found the show more interactive and exhilarating than cirque du soliel. I laughed at the antics of Cesar and the interactive performances of all the players of the show - from the conturionist, to the amazing acrobatics, the the def-defying romantic aerial love story, to the food and fun. well worth it! definitely.

For $85/person we got dinner and a 3-hour show with first-rate performers. Comedy/juggling act by "the chef" had us laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes. Drinks and the $12/person service charge (gratuity) were extra, but certainly reasonable. My mother and sister (visiting from out of town) loved the show and kept wondering how I managed to get discounted tickets for a Friday night show before Mother's Day. Goldstar, baby!

People had been telling me about this for years but I never went . . . until now. SEXY, HOT, FUN, AMAZING, AWESOME FOOD AND SERVICE and oh so much more. We found a new wine that was recommended and we liked it so much we went to buy a few bottles at BevMo. We had purchased a really great photo of the two of us which we left behind by accident and they mailed us a duplicate next day.
We are going again with friends in a few weeks and taking our daughter and her fiance for her 25th birthday in June. Wish I had listened and gone years ago!!!! DON'T MISS THIS ONE

We had such an amazing time at this event. The chicken w/polenta was GREAT! It was non-stop entertainment. We sat with another couple and had so much funny laughing, drinking and just enjoying ourselves. This is the 3rd time I have been to Teatro Zinzanni and it never ceases to entertain. I would recommend this show to anyone who loves a good meal and truly loves to laugh! Where else can you go to be entertained for 3 hours, laugh your butt off, and have a great 5-course meal included? Truly superb!!!

The show was super entertaining. No real theme to the show but they did a fantastic job keeping your entertained the whole time! It's a great first date type of event because you have breaks in between when they feed you, to talk. It is three hours long so make sure you are well rested. The main course and desert was good. Parking was easy. All aspects of the show were well managed.
It's a show you MUST experience! Lifts your spirit :-)

Very entertaining show - we had a terrific time. The only sour note was that as we were ordering a bottle of red wine, our server pressed upon us the wine pairings, which sounded great, so we went with that option - and it was almost entirely white wines (4 out of 5 - which neither of us drink much) - the server made a chunk of change, but at the expense of two people who are now disgruntled...

Teatro ZinZanni is definitely three hours of entertainment and good food. At a couple of points during the show, my face hurt from laughing! The variety and talent in the show are worthwhile and the dinner included made it a better deal than the current Cirque du Soleil.

I was so disappointed with this show. I went to Teatro ZinZanni last January and saw a WONDERFUL show. That's why I went back. This new version Under the Gypsy Moon was such a disappoinment. The music was not enjoyable nor were the singers. The story line was not interesting. The last half hour does have some good moments with very good acrobatics. Over all, I felt that I overpaid for a mediocre show.

The atmosphere was very festive and the performers did a great job entertaining the audience. The entire event took four hours which was way to long. If the event had been done in three hours it would have been much better. We arrived at 5:30 and did not receive our main course until 8:30 and the show ended at 9:30. I thought the show was fun but would highly recommend shortening it by one hour so your audience leaves wanting more and not wondering when the check is going to get to the table.

Parking was easily accessible because we had went on a Sunday and arrived after the giants game had ended and found parking two blocks away on Embarc. Another couple that we had shared the table with had already been twice and was attending for their third time. The booth we had been seated in was actually quite comfortable and we had a clear view of the show. Staff was very kind and attentive, but overall food was a 2.5 out of 4. The main entree (chicken) was delicious and the dessert, but as for the soup and salad were very bland and too light. Also, we had ordered the Pinot,Sirrah, and Merlot by the glass and all three were pleasant. I had taken my girlfriend here for a surprise Birthday dinner and enjoyed the experience overall! I would definitely would go through Goldstar again to see another show.

This dinner and show is amazing! We were right up in front and could see everything but I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I wouldn't really recommend this for older children as it is a little risque. Also the theatre is very warm so don't wear too many layers. Lastly, I whole-heartedly encourage you do dress up.

We took our daughter here for her 24th birthday and she LOVED it. Top notch talent and entertainment, food was fantastic, (they now have a fantastic vegetarian entree option), cocktail menu is unique and tasty, (plenty of drink options for everyone, even non-alcoholic), every seat has a great view because of the way it's set up.
We've been to see this show many times (as it changes) and it just keeps getting better and better which is hard to believe because every time it's been amazing.

This is the 2nd time we went since we enjoyed the first show so much. We took my in-laws from the UK and they enjoyed the food & atmosphere very much. Excellent performance throughout the 3-hour evening, but expensive so best for special events or birthdays. Food was delicious. You should definately discover what's under this tent since the cabaret style venue is certainly special!

I bought tickets to Teatro ZinZanni for my boyfriend's birthday. We were excited because we have heard so many great things about it. We were not disappointed. It was a very fun night with excellent food. I ordered the chicken and I thought it was delicious! We had great seats and my boyfriend was even called to go up on the stage to perform! It was a memorable and unique night out. I think it is definitely worth going to see this show. You would pay about this much for such a nice dinner in SF anyway so the show is a great "extra" for the price.

Should of read the fine print. I had good seats the last time I attended this. However, this time I had terrible seats and when I asked the person in charge, he informed me that since I had bought "cheap tickets through Goldstar" I will by default be assigned the worst seats. If I were given better seats, than it would be a mistake on their part. They advise me that if I wanted to get better seats, don't go through Goldstar Events.

I have attended Teatro Zinzanni several times at full price. When I saw it on Goldstar I jumped on the chance to save 40%. I go there for special occasions such as birthdays or graduations.
The show is always good. If you are shy about audiance participation you might be a little uncomfortable. I don't think that there is any place in the cosy environment that is safe for you if you fit the type they are looking for in their skits. However, only a few people are chosen and I guess you could gracefully refuse.
Dress-Up is optional, but I take the opportunity to put on glitter and get fancy. I think most people dress up. Some come in jeans and whatever.
The show changes every 3 or 4 months and I try never to see the same show twice. The food is quite good. You pay extra for alcoholic drinks, but a full dinner is included with coffee.
Be prepared to surrender your credit card at the beginning for any extra charges. I never do this. I always pay cash at the end of the show. However, this last time I was asked to give a deposit of I think $20 or $30 per person (I can't recall exactly) in lieu of the credit card. I had never been asked this before. Luckily I had the cash.
There is parking in the rear. It is now $11 cash to be put in a machine. There is $6 parking down the street. It is really convenient to park in back and just walk in the rear entrance.
The show and dinner lasts about 3 hours. The dinner is woven into the show.

Do not rreccommend this event .
Way overpriced for what it is.
Entertainment is different & OK.
Service is unique & interesting.
Atmosphere, in general, is decadant.
Table settings are formal & nice.
However, 5 course meal iss HORRIBLE.
Food is TERRIBLE !!!
Appetizers are simple, cheap & tasteless.
Soup is awful with too much cilantro...Couldn't eat it.
Bread is thin, dry, tasteless hardtack without any spread.
Green & yellow beans are raw & slimed with olive oil-Yuk.
Yams are smashed, with too much ginger...Couldn't eat it.
Pork chop is small & tasteless, with lots of fat & tough, hard to cut.
Dessert is a lemon flavored shortcake, too lemony...ICK...Left most.
Coffee is like mud, bitter & too strong...BARF...Left it.
Unwrapped sugar cubes hare hard & don;t dissolve in coffee.
Overall, only ate the salad with oil dressing & most of the pork chop.
It wasn't a satisfying meal or worth the price paid. For the cost, even at 1/2 price, should have been served filet menoin or at least a decent meal was edible veggies...NOT cheap entrees i.e. pork chop, chicken or lazagna/pasta & undercooked/overspiced veggies called gourmet, that aren't palatable.

Though still a fun evening, TZ has definitely gone down in quality, both in performance & menu. Having attended a few times prior, including last March when we gave them 4 stars, the menu is now a choice of either 'ravioli' or 'chicken'. The performances have more silly slapstick shticks than the eye-popping talent of prior shows. I guess rather than raising prices they had to cut down on costs? Still worth seeing if one hasn't been to, especially via Goldstar.

It was 3 hours of constant hilarity and awe. I've never laughed so hard. It was our first time so I didn't know what to expect, but it was way beyond everything I heard, which was all excellent. From the moment we walked into the tent, we left our inhibitions outside and brought our playful selves inside. Frank Ferante was a first-class entertainer, in a league by himself. When I later read that he is a Grouch Marx memorialist, I couldn't agree more. The beautiful contortionist, the three acrobats from France, the beautiful chantrueuse - perfect in every way. They say that TZ is a cross between Moulin Rouge and Cirque du Soleil. I believe it, considering all the incredible entertainment. I can't wait to go back again.

My husband and I were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and called earlier in the day to make a special request for seating as the maitre d' apparently assigns the seats. I was told by operator that he will put a special request but cannot guarantee. I understood, but wanted to see if they will grant since this is an important day in our lives. How many marriages lasts 20+ years nowadays?
When we got there, got in line and told the maitre d' my request, she replied "we can sell you front seats". I knew then she completely ignored my request, so I said, "oh, that means, we won't get good seats". She glared at me and then looked over to her right who took down the seat/table number and handed me the piece of paper. When it was time to go in, we handed our number to the hostess who would show us our seats, and told us that table was already full (what a surprise!). We were assigned another table number but hostess realized that too was full (another surprise!). Long story short, we were assigned a third table number which we had to crane our necks to see the show and stage! Ya' think it was somethin' I said?
The food was not gourmet. The chicken was GAME HEN unless that was baby chicken.
The show was entertaining but not worth the full price unless you get it thru Goldstar or other form of discounts.
They also charged $12 per person room charge. We were treated so crappy and our experience unpleasant that we would NOT recommend this event to anyone. Unfortunately, our 21 year wedding anniversary will be associated with Teatro ZinZanni! UUUGGGHHHH.

After many visits, still worth seeing, especially via Goldstar. TZ in an effort to control costs keeps adding for extras like a mandatory $12 pp service with tax added on top. This version is very good, especially Chef Frank Ferrante & his talent for audience involvement. The performances are first rate & the meal is good, with 4 choices of entrees. Metered & free parking is available a block away on weeknights. Overall a fun evening & definitely worth the Goldstar price.

This is supposed to be a very nice evening out, but I actually didn't like it for several reasons... First of all, accept the fact that you will not get good seats with these discounted tickets. Then, the show had some breathtaking moments, but the part with juggling the slices of bread and chicken and then throwing it all over was just terrible - makes you think of all those hungry people around the world, while you sit there and watch an irresponsible person playing with food... and getting paid for that! At the end, even after 5 course meal, I was still hungry since the portions were really small (I'm a slim person with moderate appetite). Then, since no cameras were allowed, we purchased a photo for $20 (!!!) and unfortunately left it in the bathroom. I figured that out next morning and since it was Saturday I called right away, talked to the person who promised that they would look for it and if they don't find it we could get a duplicate (since the pictures were still in the computer). Unfortunately nobody called back and after couple of follow-ups I was finally told on Wednesday that our photo was not found and all the negatives were deleted from the computer. I'm sure they were still there Saturday morning, but nobody cared enough to get them!! All together - very disappointing for such an expensive show!

Lovely setting (pity you can't see the water), great staff and performers - with the exception of the actress who played Cleopatra, who was only a fair to middling singer.
Food was good. We paid an extra $75 for a photo @$20, two beers @ $8 each, a latte at $4.50 and the compulsory 'service fee' of $12 each.
For me only just worth $80 each, certainly not worth $120. I won't be going back.

What a fantastic evening! Commute in on bart and took the Muni F line, check in for will-call tickets was very smooth. Had time to browse around inside and check out extra goodies to buy to get into the spirt of the evening (hats, tiaras, feather fans, boas, etc).
Food was great, plenty of it, service was right on time, and the show itself was awesome... A fantastic evening!! Highly recommend everyone going and participating.

I saw it a couple of years ago and it was even better than before. It has a wonderful nostalgic feeling, harking back to cabaret shows in 1920's Germany, slightly wicked, silly, and with enormously talented individuals. My out-of-town friends said it was the best thing they had ever seen and they don't sit at home!

This is a beautiful venue - every seat in the house is a good one and I was really impressed with how efficiently everything ran. The show was terrific, the performers were great, and the meal was actually delicious! All in all it was a very fun evening.

What a fantastic show and meal. The meal was great and was paced throughout the 3 hour show. At times it felt like a "Beach Blanket Babylon", at times it felt like Cirque de Sole (sic). Amongst the swirling events were the sweet vocals reminiscent of Jeanette MacDonald when she sang with Nelson Eddy. The trapeze work was phenomenal, with artistry brought to new levels.
However, be careful of the extra drinks you buy during the show, it can add up very quickly.

This was a great show! The food was very good - abet small portions - but generally well prepared and tasty. The performers were excellent and very entertaining! As the performers may be different in the shows, and of course the audience, no two shows are exactly the same! If you get a chance to go, don't miss it!

The setting and the employees all playing characters made it fun. This was the second night with the new theme show and it came off a little flat at times. Over all it was a fun evening. My biggest complaint was the cost of wine and drinks - VERY EXPENSIVE.

I saw this show several years ago (it was 4 star then) and was not as delighted this time as last. The food, last time was really good. This time it was okay. The performers were good, not amazing and at least one of the acts (the cook's) was not new at all from that of several years ago. (I guess I just don't like the catching and spitting balls with the mouth tricks.)
More than that, the add-ons made this a very costly evening. Wine at $14.00 per glass (not all that fabulous btw), parking, service charges...even with the discount tickets, this was expensive!

My daughter (16 years old) and I had a truly remarkable time. If you bring quarters and arrive at 6, meter parking (across the street) is $1.25 (stop operating at 7pm). Despite our Goldstar "cheap" tickets, we got the BEST seats in the house by arriving at 6pm as requested. I honestly did not think there were any "bad" seats. We had drinks and got our face painted and the 55 mins til showtime flew.
Food was decent. Usually if the show is good, food is bad or vice versa. Food was not gourmet (could be improved), but certainly nothing to complain about. We both enjoyed the food; there was plenty of it; and courses were perfectly timed.
They mistakenly forgot to bring our dessert and when I told someone about it, they actually comped our drinks! I thought that was very nice, especially on "cheap" tickets when they really did not have to, and they did indeed bring the dessert afterall.
We laughed and were amazed and entertained every single minute. I would have been happy if we had paid full price and would definitely go again. Only complaint: I understand drinks are not included in ticket price, but what is up with the $12 dining room charge in addition to already buying tickets??? Everyone we spoke to was surprised about that. Why not just include it in the cost of the ticket? We felt like the price was slickly increased in this way. So long as you have read the fine print and are prepared for the additional $12 per person fee, you should not be disappointed.

This was not my first time to attend. The show was poorly paced, and lasted far too long. The food service was slow and the quality of food not good (except for dessert). The entire performance lacked a story that I could follow. There were some very good performers but I really enjoyed the story that the December show was based on. It was colorful, funny, quick, entertaining and well acted. In conclusion, excessive spitting on stage is never acceptable, even when it is the Queen.

Fantastic experience! Everything was first rate--food, entertainment, venue. A little bit of everything. I've never laughed out loud or had that much fun. Parking was easy to find on the street. Thank you Goldstar for offering this-you've outdone yourselves!

The whole experience was fantastic. The setting, the actors, the show, everything was incredible. If you have not gone or are thinking about going, DO IT!! It is well worth the money. I have gone 3 times and each time has been amazing. Best show in SF.

I miss the acrobatics and artistry of the earlier manifestations of Teatro Zinzani, however the food was excellent and the service great as always. The magic act was often off center stage and therefore difficult to see from where we were seated. It was OK but I would not recommend it for the price.

Fun event. Good show
Decent seating, but my back was partly facing the main stage - so I had to turn sideways to watch parts of the show (our seats were on the outer perimeter of the tent, which are all booths. They sit 7 people). Luckily, most of the show took place all throughout the tent so I was not always having to sit sideways on the bench.
One word of advice - the 5-courses are pretty spaced out, so I'd recommend snacking before you come. Otherwise you'll be starving by the time the main course arrives.

This was a truely great event for price. I took my wife for mothers day, and she loved it. It was a 3 hour show which was well integrated into our meal. The staff and actors are great and highly accessable. The come to your table and interact with you, and some guests were even integrated into the show itself. All in all I would highly recommend and will probably go again in the future.

My brother and I bought tickets for our mom for her birthday/mother's day. And all three of us had a fantastic time - which is quite a feat considering our range of ages (mid-20s to early 60s). Good food, great entertainment, and a unique atmosphere.

I came to the show last December, and thought it was better than this one, both performance and food.
Food delivery was slow, and my table always got served last...my family was upset about it when the people just walked by us and helped the other tables.
The duo act by the two chinese were performed by only one of them with another girl - not what they said in the flyer. My dad saw the two guys' performance on TV before and was disappointed to see only one.
Kevin, the drag queen, was pretty funny and the verticle Tango was good, so it wasn't all bad...
Overall, the quality went down while they charged you more. In this economy, I will save my money and bring my business elsewhere.

If you like glitzy shows in Vegas, this is for you. It's definitely not for kids. We brought our ten-year-old daughter, and there were a number of children in the audience, and the show was full of sex jokes and cleavage and skimpy outfits... the cast was pretending to be wild and carefree, but it was very packaged and over-produced. The dinner was fine, but there's a long wait between each course. We also expected more circus acts. It's just not my thing, I guess.

Nice show. I was a bit disappointed with our seating. Not only do you sit very close to other watching the show, but you also sit with other parties. I called the event twice on the day of the show to let them know that I was celebrating my 1 year wedding anniversary. They did not even take that into consideration when placing us at our seats.

“Hail Caesar” is not the show to see! I’ve gone to Teatro ZinZanni multiple times and this is the first time I have been so disappointed. Also, because I booked through Goldstar, I got the worst seats in the house.
The acting was horrible. The humor was repetitive and stale, particularly from the Chef, who is supposed to be a brilliant comedian. I don’t believe he knew how to say anything aside from “Look at you! Look at you! You are beautiful.” Although Debbie de Coudreaux was great, the performance from Svetlana Nikitenko was substandard; the Diva was no diva at all. Most of the acrobatics left much to be desired. The only ones who deserve any credit in that arena are Andrew Adams and Erica Gilfether. The rest of the time I kept on expecting the real acrobatics to start, only to discover that what I was watching wasn’t a preshow and that it wasn’t going to get any better.
After the last show I saw, “A La Folie”, I left in awe. I couldn’t find fault with anything. The show, the food, the acting, singing and acrobatics were spectacular. A La Folie featured Oleg Izossimov, who was 1000x better than the acrobat girl in “Caesar”, Michael Davis as Chef Tad Overdone, who truly was hilarious, a brilliant cast including Dick & Mitzi, who were great acrobats, and of course Liliane Montevecchi as Madame ZinZanni who gave me goosebumps with her talented performance.
