What a delight seeing Joan Baez again - still a wonderful singer and as beautiful as ever. She even served me a spoonful of my soup as she passed through the audience. Voronin was also mysteriously (and a bit creepily) fun even though he never uttered a single word during the entire performance. His face spoke eloquently, however, and expressed so much more than words could have.Written on Jul 22 2011
The food was only so-so and the bill did add up with all of the add-ons but the players staged each portion in a very creative way. Our servings were actually part of the show.
All in all it was a wonderful evening.

We were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary & wanted to do something different -- this certainly fit the bill! The food was excellent and the show was quite entertaining. The Maestro even stopped by our table and did a magic trick. The "Strongman" character also stopped by our table twice: once to play around with my gold clutch purse and another time as he was being introduced during the finale (he pretended to almost kiss my husband! LOL).Written on Jul 11 2011
I'm also a Red Velvet member and requested for one of the better tables. We got a private table for 2 (table # 201) by the bandstand in their "premium inner ring" area. Normally those seats go for $167 per person but thanks to Goldstar, we paid a total of $185 for BOTH of us (55% savings!). As other reviewers have said, the entire experience is very expensive. We forked out another $185 on top of our tickets (we each had pre-dinner drinks at the bar + dinner wine pairings for both of us + dining fee $12 per person + $20 photo souvenir + tip).
I think that it was a splurge but well-worth it.

The show was delightful. It was a treat to see Joan Baez - what a beauty still after all these years.I loved that she ended the show with Dylan's "I Shall Be Released". Mr.Voronin transfixed us. All of the performers were wonderful and the evening was beautifully paced.Written on Jul 11 2011
The food wasn't bad considering what it is they're trying to do.
My only complaint was that I felt we were getting fleeced. The show is quite expensive and then they add on these hidden fees - $12 per head for a service charge. By the time we walked out the door we were out more than $350 for two people (and that with a Goldstar discount).

Description
Joan Baez and Voronin star in Teatro ZinZanni’s Maestro’s Enchantment in the beautiful Spiegeltent on Pier 29. Maestro’s Enchantment reunites the artistry of legendary chanteuse Joan Baez as Madame ZinZanni and master Ukrainian illusionist Yevgeniy Voronin as The Maestro. Romance ignites between Madame ZinZanni and the Maestro when she returns to the Spiegeltent with her mysterious 18th century circus troupe. Experience an enchanting evening of trickery and illusion, dreams and divas, music and merriment guaranteed to mesmerize the beholder and tickle the palate.
Joan Baez gave her first performance at Teatro ZinZanni in April 2002, and stars as Madame ZinZanni for the fourth time. She began her career as a teenager singing the ancient melodies of old Europe and new America and became an adult singing the songs of her generation. With numerous gold records to her name, Ms. Baez continues to raise the bar on the standards of contemporary folk music and its near first-cousins: pop, country, and rock. She is known for her activities and achievements as an advocate for social justice through nonviolence for which she has received countless accolades and honors.
Master magician Voronin -- known throughout the world as “The Maestro” -- is an original ZinZanni cast member and has appeared with the company in more than 20 productions. Both mesmerizing and mysterious, Voronin is the recipient of the prestigious Roy and Siegfried prize for Master Magician and one of the most sought after stars of the European cabaret world.
The Maestro’s Enchantment cast also includes clown Peter Pitofsky, known for his zany combination of outrageous comedy, uncanny timing, and improvisational shenanigans; aerial acrobat and U.S. National Champion gold medalist Bianca Sapetto; master trapeze artists and comedians The Collins Brothers; opera diva Kristin Clayton, an original San Francisco ZinZanni cast member; Russian contortionist and performance artist Svetlana; Russian juggler and accordionist Sergiy Krutikov; and magician Brandon Rabe, as Voronin’s assistant.
