Description
Randy Johnson became only the 24th Major League pitcher to win 300 games, and only the sixth left-hander to do so, when the Giants defeated the Washington Nationals, on June 4, 2009. The Giants will commemorate Johnson's milestone at AT&T Park on Saturday, June 20, prior to the Giants vs. Texas Rangers game.
The Giants will hold a special pre-game ceremony, prior to the 6:05 p.m. start, to honor Johnson on this hallowed achievement. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 5:45 p.m. Joining in the celebration will be other 300-game winners, including Hall of Famers Gaylord Perry and Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver and Johnson's teammates and family. The ceremony will be carried live on NBC Bay Area.
The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a San Francisco Giants knit cap.
