The spirit of the troop is not the same without Michael, but they are improving. I will continue to support them! I am happy, that they included some new and fresh dances.

Elite seating, though on the main level, we were sat second to last row of seats in the auditoriam, hence not very close. The first act of classical ballet didn't do much for me, the quality of synchronization, the ability to convey feeling all seemed weak, though a few highlights did occur. 2nd act was pure fun and entertainment, that is how this went from a 2* to a 4*, the second act was just a lotta of fun. They were having fun, and it really communicated.

The show was entertaining. I didn't anticipate the 'classical' first half which I always find a little snoozy (I danced for years and kindof burned out on it!) but the 2nd half was contemporary and unique and very entertaining. Well worth the price to see. And the venue is nice. EVERY seat has a great view of the stage.

The Elite seating was not impressive--we were in the last 2 rows from the back. Luckily, the venue is so small, that you can see well from pretty much anywhere. I also noticed that on my ticket the price was $28, when i paid The Gold Star $37--i am not sure what kind of fees were applied. And my friend who'd bought a last minute ticket paid $41.
The first part was plain painful, the music was stiff and boring, but the second part was pure joy. The Smuin ballet is coming back in the spring, i will check out their new shows. I didnt like their asking for money at the end of the show.
